Yesterday I bought a premodded mobo with a Alladdin Advance XT from llamma.
First of all, i'm wondering if i'm going to have some problems when using my hd from my old xbox? Isn't it locked to the old motherboard so it wont work when paired with the premodded mobo? If so, what can I do about it? I'm probally gonna buy a 200 gig hd tomorrow also if that would help me with whatever I may need to do.

Thanks,
~Iggy

If your old HDD is locked then yes... it won't work with the new MOBO.

If your old xbox is still working you'll need to unlock the hdd using config-magic, evox, or some other tool. If it's not working (and you haven't got a copy of the HDD unlock code somewhere else) then you might be able to remove the eeprom from the old boc and put it in a working mobo to unlock it. Bit too much hassle for my thinking... (It'll have to be the same version mobo too!!)

My xbox that the drive is locked to is in working condition, but it's not modded...Is there anyway I could go from installing the new mobo (modded) and a newly boughten harddrive and make that work? Or would I need a original xbox harddrive at the beginning to add a new one?
