I just installed my new X3 ce in my v1.6 XBox. I used the pin header (removing pin 6) and the LPC rebuild PCB. When I boot up all I get is the standard MS boot screen and my X3 switch doesn't light up at all. Nor due the HD/LAN lights. The only LED I get is the blue one confirming 5v. I've double checked all my conections and everything seems fine. Though it is hard to confirm the connections on the PCB rebuild since once you solder it you can no longer see the solder points on the MB.

I have no idea what can be wrong. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Also, what it the Pot mounted on the corner of the X3 chip for.

Your 3.3V isn't working. Try the 3.3V pin...I had that problem when installing an X3 with rebuild board...the rebuild solder had sucked the solder outta the hole. The pot is for the X3LCD.

Thanks James,

I couldn't get the rebuild PCB to work by resoldering the connections so I scrapped it and rebuilt it myself with kynar 30 guage wire. Now I get the 5v and 3.5v LEDs lighting up and my X3 switch also lights up blue like it should. However, it boots to black screen. Is this correct? Shouldn't a default bios load?
