Looking to Mod an Xbox and I have gone through all the comparison charts, but I am having a difficult time understanding the differences between these chips. Considering I can get the Alladin for about $15, just wondering why the price for the Executer is som much more. There must be a reason??

Thanks in advance.

OK I now found and realize the difference between Xecuter 3CE and Alladin XT, but not real sure the difference in the Xecuter 2 and Alladin XT - especially for the price difference of + $20 or more for the Executer.

personally i think an aladdin is better than an xecuter 2... there isnt anything great about the xecuter 2 chip and the aladdin doesnt require a gaudy external chip to turn mod on and off.. and the aladdin price is much nicer..

xecuter 2 has 2 bios banks aladdin has 1 (you really only need 1) xecuter has flash protect, some aladdins do some dont (again, a little-used feature) xecuters include an external switch, aladdins enable/disable by holding the power button for 1-2 seconds (you cna add an external switch if thats what you want though)

but the most important reason it costs my (IMO) is because and xecuter is an xecuter (even in modding, you pay for the brand name)

Thanks for the input guys. From looking at the specs, there didn't seem to be that big of a difference - so I was wondering about why there is such the price difference. Looks like it a brand name thing. Any reliability difference between the 2? Is Alladin XT Live worth the extra loot?

No point to spend more for a mod chip whose purpose is just to boot / load a hacked bios of your choice. I would recommend a Aladdin XT 4032 + external SPST switch or DuoX 2 (blue). I highly recommend DuoX 2, especially for v1.6/1.6b. Both can be bought quite cheaply, for example:

Anyway, a better forums for budget mod chips is

http://forums.xbox-s...php?showforum=3

Do a search of the above forums for "Aladdin XT" or "DuoX 2" for more info.

Well - I just ordered a DouX 2 from Robotpig.com. after reading posts from this site, I like what I read about this chip (or lack of because less problems). Thanks for the help. I will be back - not a threat but a warning LOL! tongue.gif
