I have an Alladin chip right now and I would like a chip that is more configurable and easier to use. Can you guys suggest a more user friendly chip? I was thinking an Xecuter3? What do you think?

Xenium Ice?

What are the benefits of owning a X3 over an Alladin?

For starters it has it's own OS to make things easy for you and configure it the way you want it. Aladdin's only good for running a hacked bios (e.g. X2 4981 bios) and doesn't have an OS (Operating System).

The reason I ask is I think I am going to give this Xbox to a friend and have them buy a chip for their Xbox and give their Xbox to me. That way they have a modded xbox and really can't do anything to mess it up. (I am sure they will find a way though.) Plus I am sick of the mod chip with training wheels. I want one that is fully configurable and can be done by the chip instead of doing 20 hours of research to flash the bios to the chip.

Thank you for your replies. It seems the X3 is a very respected chip in these forums. I expected this but I just wanted to make sure. Can you give me a reputable dealer of X3 chips. This Alladin was from Divineo. What do you think of them?

I haven't really dealt with Divineo. But I heard they're ok.

uhg, not the right forum to bitch about it, but divineo is crap... I ordered an Xbit from them a long time back, while it said it was in stock. Next day it says its not in stock, whatever, send multiple e-mails after 2 weeks of waiting, blah blah blah... In short I waited over a month and they still hadn't sent the package. Modchipman, if you are in the US, was awesome. Took them less than a week after divineo failed completly.
