Are these two things just unrelated reasons you hate MS?

What happens when you try to load Halo 2?

As for your PC, sounds like viruses/spyware/malware. Run an anti-virus, spybot, adaware, etc.

I think everyone will agree that MS is not the best.

Do you want help with your problems or did you just need to vent? If you needed to vent then I understand how you feel. {{{{ModingTheBox}}}}

I'll agree that i have my share of MS problomes.
But What company was it that desighned the xbox?
what company desighned the os system that you are running?
what company created game titels such as
halo 1
halo 2
Fable
age of empires ect.
MS has more problems than most other companys because ther bigger than every 1 else. more products = more problomes.
IF you dont like MS, Boycot ther Products.
WE'll see just how long that lasts when you come crawling back to your litle computer loaded with xp, or your beloved litle xbox.
you shouldnt always bite the hand that feeds you.

And btw. dont even bother geting on the sub about my spelling.

As for your Xbox: It sounds to me like it's your DVD drive, particularly if your Xbox is unmodded. Unfortunately this happens with a lot of Xboxes, mostly older ones.

As for your PC. It's not "fried". At worst you'll have to reinstall Windows. MS has their problems but you have to take some resonsibility for what you do when it comes to spyware, etc. Be careful of what you download. If you are using Internet Explorer or install unsavory programs you have to be prepared to run anti-virus and spyware tools frequently.

well i can tell you this for your pc.
download spybot s&d & adaware se on another pc and durn it to a disk.
reboot your cpu in safe mode.
run sb and add then your virus software.trojan remover is a good idea too.
then i would go in to your startup mene xp =msconfig in run comand. and uncheck anything that isnt a MS program in startup and services.
erase all temp internet files, cokies and history files in documents and setings, and IE. and if ther are any temp internet files in youe win system 32.
then reboot into normal mode and see if your cpu is ok. this usualy fixes the issue sence adaware, spybot and norton usualy cant delet viruses that are curently runing. booting in safe mode dosnt allow anything to startup on its own unless its a basic system component.

I would follow thesideinguy's advice for your PC.

For your Xbox, you can get drives on Ebay, or at http://llamma.com/ . The problem is that it can be quite costly to replace a DVD drive. Modding your Xbox won't really fix this problem. You could mod and then try to back games up to the HDD, but if your drive is giving you problems you may not have a lot of luck doing this.
