I want to trade for, or purchase an Xbox Phillips or Samsung drive to replace my crappy Thompson drive that won't load my evox disc.

I would just get a pc-dvd drive, but i don't have a dvd burner to backup games and I don't have a HD to store games on. I would rather get a replacement Xbox DVD drive, set up evox, and then worry about a HD. biggrin.gif

The PC-DVD drive mod is difficult because you have to put the drive on the outside of the box, so I would suggest replacing the drive with another Xbox drive. (This is what I did with a Samsung...my life is now complete biggrin.gif )

I might be getting some extra drives in soon from my last order. I will let you know what I've recieved and how much each will be.

What is EvoX on that your thompson wont read? also I have a tweaked Phillips, reads CD's, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW. How much will you offer plus your thompson?

lol

I bought a 1.0 Xbox and noticed it had a Thompson drive. So I took it back and go the newer Xbox that comes with halo and Amped for $29CAD more and it was a 1.1 with a samsung drive. I guess I'll know how good it is once I get my modchip.

I had 1.0 Xbox and a Phillips drive I believe and I had almost no problem with it at all. I haven't tried + meadia cause my burner only does -

However I only had some problems reading Pioneer DVD-RWs. Sometimes they would read and sometimes not. Sold it cause it had a v1 X-Ecuter and it can't be flash upgraded through Evox and I did not have a programmer for it.
