Ok so I have this object in both .3ds format and .ase format ase to xm program tells me "could not set the requested pixel format" and conv3ds tells me program too big to fit in memory, but I have plenty of memory. The uix.x.xm.tool works fine but I have no .xm files yet. Anyone take a shot or maybe I can send someone my object and do me a flavor and .x it for me. Of course I would love the ability to do this myself and any help is greatly app.

Is there any way you can export to (.x) format?
