i was wondering if it matters what kind of hard drive you buy to put in your xbox

ohh boy...this is gonna be a 5pages arguement...

it really doesnt matter what hdd u buy, if you are really concerned then look up the lockability list...its just user preference...i personally like seagates

just dont get sata, seagates usually have the best warrenty, WD is pretty good, i got a maxtor right now cause i got it for free and i hate it, its louder than the fan in the xbox

yeah the maxtors are loud (and i personally think theyre junk), I use seagates, wd, and ibm/hitachi most of the time.

The seagates seem to be the quietest and have the best warranty though, the wd and hitachi are a bit louder (and 2 hitachi 160gb's i have make funny squealing noises every 30mins or so, so does my friend's)
