Earlier today I modded two xbox's with xecuter3's. One was a Philips v1.1, and the other is a Samsung (v1.3 I believe). Flashed both with x3 bios and put evolution-x dash on it. That all works.

When I'm trying to load a game on the Philips, it says no disk in evolution-x on the Philips xbox. On the Samsung, it says unknown. I used TDK 4x DVD+R and Imation 8x DVD+R (burned at 4x).

I thought the Samsung was supposed to take nearly any media. If it's just bad media causing this, what media do you think would work? Is DVD-R more compatible than DVD+R?

I already modded a v1.0 Thomson drive xbox with an xecuter3 and it reads both of these types of DVD+R perfectly.

I had a problem similar to this. Ended up being I needed to burn the games at 2x to get them to be recognized. Try that first, then try using dvd-r 's like maxell
