My original Xbox drive is bad. I installed a mod chip and started to copy
what i could off the old drive. The old drive is showing C,D,E,X,Y and Z
folders. I got all folders copyed except E about half of the dir UDATA
is unreadable. We dont really care about our game saves just want
to get the thing working again. Is there anything on the E that I
need on the new drive? looked to me like it was game save data.

I'm pretty sure you only need files from C. Although to be same u may want to create the folders on E, but they're all just saved games and cache.

E is generally game saves (mostly cache). Also, it's better to post this in another forum wink.gif

Wrong forum. . . just be more mindful next time.

Did you happen to use the Xenium chip's OS to ftp, or did you boot to evolution x (or another dash) to ftp? Also, were you using flash FXP?

It turns out that flash FXP has a limit for the number of characters a file path can have. Some of your data on E may have extremely long file names. If you want to be certain, you can shorten the file path by ftp-ing them to sub folders as you back them up.

Also, I've found that the Xenium OS ftp is not (yet) the most reliable. It's beter to use a dash that's equipped to handle it. . . like evo X.

Also, make sure you grab your NICKNAME file from the E.
