Okay so I have learned the hard way that you can't just stick a 200 gig hd in your xbox and have it read it all. So I have a questions (bolded to cut through my rambling)

When I look for my bios it just says M8+++ yet when I look in here everyone wants to use numbers. Does this bios have the large hdd support or will I have to reflash it? My problem with reflashing is my thompson drive was a pain in the arse to flash. It took 8 different cd-rw's before it would flash and using that same media seems like it didn't work when I tried to reflash it once before.

Thanks in advance.

Get M8+ LBA48 and you can stick in whatever size drive you want. make sure its the 1.6 version if your xbox is a 1.6.

See the problem I have is that I can't find much media that will work. The DVD I have the auto installer on works like a charm but when I try to flash the bios through it the thing just says erasing for a long time.

But from what you are sayign there is an M8+ w and w/o large drive support?
