how do turn off auto-hardware -detection features in my bios. i can get to my bios, but then what?

You need to try and explain a little more in detail what you are trying to achieve and what is not happening.
You have made 2 posts one after the other and I could not grasp either. Give some detailed info and I am sure someone will have an answer for you.

in the readme for xboxhdm it says to make sure auto-hardware-detection is off in oyur bios otherwise your new hd will get freeze-locked.
