I've seen it mentioned before... folks moving there dash application and other apps to another drive (other than C). Is this necessary if you want to logon to LIVE? Does MS check for "other" applications on your C drive when you logon?

Of course I would only go on Live when I booted into the MS retail TSOP but I can't help but wonder if MS does any other checks to see.

Just want to make sure I have taken all necessary precuations before I logon to Live for the first time.

Thanks in advance

if your booting an unmodded xbox up, it dosen't know how to look for the dash application in any drive accept C, and if it did, live would prolly be able to tell based on news a few months ago about how live was scanning the xbox to see if the hard drive has changed and stuff.

Relax you will be ok. Live checks the hDD key and pairs it with eeprom in the box when you log on live so providing those 2 stay constant you will be fine.
