my backed up doom 3 has slow and choppy play, for awhile it played fine then it screwed up, but my backed up mx vs atv plays fine.

ive tried changing to IGR too.

edit:the igr still works ingame though

on disc or hdd?

if it's disc, try burning at a slower speed.
I was playing a game the other day and, like you, it was fine until an hour or so into the game and it became jerky to the point of being unplayable.
I burned another at a lower speed and it worked fine.
There is a possibility it's the quality of disc being used.

did you delete the intro videos to the game? if you did then that is your problem. doom 3 is caching during those loadup screens and if you delete the movies, the is no time to cache the files therefore the game will run very slow.

im having the exact same problem
i think it probably has something to do with the way the game was set up to play?
When i put it on a dvd it ran absolutly perfect?
Confused me anyway jester.gif
