Let me be very honest here.....................if you are not using an HDTV, you wont even really notice the difference between them.

It would be RGB, then component, but you'd barely notice the difference between the two...

RGB ought to give you slightly better colours than svideo, especialy when playing games in ntsc (Never The Same Colour twice, the encoding is slightly lossy).

Now there is a debate. It depends on your perception.
Whilst RGB offers the highest bandwidth colour signal the Black and white picture signal is combined within that bandwidth. But the Y signal in component contains full bandwidth Black and white although the colour difference signals are compressed in bandwidth. The peak white and Black level signals it could be argued would provide better image clarity even allowing for the reduction in bandwidth of the colour difference signals
I agree the difference is small on some things but it is dependant on the equipment used and the source material
RGB is fine for my xbox but I prefer the image through component when using a progressive scan dvd .
I suppose whatever looks the way you prefer is the way to go.

For interlaced, RGB wins by a whisker. Games being RGB encoded as opposed to DVDs which are component encoded, means no compression when using RGB. However, you would need a large display to benefit and even then, a quality pair of component cables could easily tip the balance.

Unlike the almost inperceivable difference between RGB and component, you will notice the difference between RGB and S-Video. Go RGB.

Wow, they didn't even tell the mods! Check the suggestions forum, it's a new advertising technique.
