Gentoox is a Xbox specific Linux distribution based on gentoo. Gentoox works 'out of the box' without the need for massive configuration/software compilation. The 'magic' package management system keeps Gentoox up to date and applies Xbox specific patches and configuration files. A 'pro' version is available with fewer installed packages, allowing for greater customisation.
Mandriva (formally know as Mandrake) is a Linux distribution focused on ease of use. Xbox support was added with the Mandriva LE 2005 release.
sXb is a Xbox Linux distribution based on slackware which aims to be small, fast, modular, and customizable. It can be run as a live CD or installed to the Xbox's hard drive. sXb is current available in two flavours, sXbig (fully featured distro) and sXb Mini (Fast, small version of sXb).
Xebian (formally Ed's Debian) is a Xbox Linux distribution based on Debian. The apt package management tool allows for the installation of a huge range of precompiled software. It is extremly flexible and be run as a live CD or installed to your hard disk. It will run on both PCs and Xboxes.

X-Fedora brings Fedora Core to the Xbox. The install cd uses a 2.6.11 kernel and contains patches for X.Org. All the required fedora packages are downloaded via HTTP by the installer.
xUbuntu is a distribution built on top of Ubuntu GNU/Linux distribution. xUbuntu is a lightweight system with the desktop interface Xfce4. xUbuntu can be run from CD or installed to a PC or Xbox hard drive. The install process, the kernel, the kernel modules and the desktop are customized for PC and Xbox (i386).
FreeBSD is a free, Unix like operating system derived from the Berkeley Software Distribution. It is now possible to run FreeBSD on your XBox. In the initial release IDE, USB, audio, CD/DVD and the framebuffer device are fully supported. The Xbox's on-board ethernet is unsupported but this is being worked on.
