I have some .wad files that I took from an Xbox game. The file is named music_wma.wad so I'm assuming the music is in .wma format, but compressed in the .wad. Is there a program to extract the wma files or whatever files they may be from this .wad?

I've been trying to extract the soundtrack of Tiger Woods 2005 so I'm quite interested in this topic.

I asked a month or so ago if I could rip songs and the only response was "no." Hoping there's more to it than that.

At one point I had a program that could do this with certain ps2 games, but I forgot what it was.

You can't just bump every hour or 2 then say you give up.. Stick to it, there might be a way.

Normally people bump about every 12 hours.

I'll look around for you.

I know that, but many people bump once every 12 hours and it seems to be fine. Although it is supposed to be 24 hours.

Face it, people only look at the first two pages, sometimes only the first. Everytime I've ever made a topic in this forum, it's slipped into oblivion without any replies (nor views). This topic wasn't even getting any views hardly, so I simply kept bumping it until someone who knew the answer would see it on the first page. I didn't think I was being selfish by doing this, I simply just wanted one of my topics in Newbie Chat to get attention for once.

you'd probably have more luck in the game hacking sections as they'd know about different formats.

the problem with a lot of the games is that the file types used are often made up by that company and there's no real standard for them. it could be that .wad files are only used by the company that made the game....and nobody else has any sort of utility to extract them.

i'm not saying it's impossible...just saying that there's a chance it may not work out. keep looking around though....you may want to start reading here.
