Wrong, you can still play on Live. My friend has a HD switch, so he can switch from his larger HD to his stock HD in his Xbox. He has a softmod, and he just switches everytime he wants to do something on the larger one, or play XBL on the stock.

i thought XBL binded the serials of the xbox and HDD or whatever so it would notice if they didnt match up and i would get banned... and i know you need to cold-boot off the cd or turn off the softmod and play off the cd to play on XBL... oh, i guess i could do that, but my xbox is still under warranty so im kinda skeptical about that... i guess im gonna be ordering a new HDD... lol

He never said he wanted to play halo 2 off his HD on XBL, just that he wanted to play halo 2 off his HD, and also use XBL.

Delete some unneeded files (remove the intro movie and extra xbe's (leave only default.xbe)

Info page on what files you can remove or replace from games when you rip/burn em
