Hey, can you guys tell me how to backup DVD movies to another DVD-r? I have a few movies that are getting scratched up and dont want to lose good movies. I know they use bigger DVD-R but the only ones I can find are the 9.4gb double sided. Is that right? The orginal dvd is just one sided. Also, what is dvd-ram? I have the Pioneer 104 and hopefully that works. I just need to know what media to get and what program to use.

Thanks again guys

just visit www.dvdrhelp.com because it would take a short paper to explain all of this too you.

Good Luck and it really is not all that hard.

You cannot directly Copy DVD9's to DVD5's.

You will have to downsample the video to obtain the proper size.

There is no quality difference. The only thing is DVD9 holds more data than DVD5, it doesn't change the quality. Also, the site that helped me learn to back up movies is dvd2dvdr.com. That's a good place, I followed it all as a beginner and was able to back up all my movies. smile.gif
