On my PC I use winamp to watch streaming TV shows off the internet. It isn't ShoutCast, but I am not sure of the actual site they use. Does anyone know a way of getting those same streaming servers to list and play on the xbox?

To stream video the xbox uses .strm files. There is a zip file available containing loads of them, some dead now, you have to put these on your xbox hard drive.

You must ensure that the file extension .strm is enabled in your xboxmediacentre.xml file.

The odd thing about this extension though is that it goes in the my music section and not the my videos section.

The .strm files are then accessed through the my music button in xbmc.
