about much space does a dvd or game take up on a harddrive on average? i ask cause i havent upgraded my harddrive yet and i want to know how big of one i want... i dont plan on loading too many games on 10 or 15 games, and i dont know how many movies, so i'd like to know how much space each of these will take up

thanks

People have said 3-4GB for games, I would assume around the same for DVD's if its an exact copy, my movies are all w/o the menus and extras, depending on the quality and length about 700mb-1.5GB

The average game is like 3 to 4 gigs, so if you only want around 15 games than an 80 gig would be find which its hard to even find lower now, unless you have an old one at your house or something....At frys you can get a 200 gig for 70 bucks so I mean....Might as well right?

my experience ...
80gig hard drive on the average is about 30games or so.
120gig about 50games or so
250gig about 110games or so

Just like already stated...
more than half the games out there are about 2-4gigs.. ALOT being 2-3gigs the bigger high end games like halo are bigger than 4 gigs and CAN get to what 9gigs or something like that.
the good games are usually say 4 gigs with even fewer being higher in size.
the games that are 8gigs are usually that size only because they have trailers and demos or some crap on the disk with the game.
