Today I had someone bring in a xbox they tried to flash using the 007 game save. they done everything to a T but neglected to resize the bios.
from 256 to 1mb

(1024 bios = 1.0-1.1 -- 256 bios = 1.2 - 1.5 -- no tsop get a chip = 1.6 - 1.6b and the 1.7 which is really a 1.6b with some extra soilder in some spots lol)

ok if you have done this and want to fix it here is how

materials

1) soildering gun ( i know you have this or you wouldn't be reading this lol)
2) peice of snair wire
3) steady hand

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) ok strip the box down and get the board out on your lap ( stop thinking " I can't belive I Fu*ked my baby")

2) find the lpc bus . next to the lpc bus you will see a cap labled C6R3 (This is where the magic will happen)

3) soilder a wire to the cap on the side closest to the lpc bus.

4)connect the wire to a18 and a19 as shown in the pic.

5) smile that your baby works again and go play some xbox and stop wasting you time reading lol.

hope this helps some people out

peace

The 3 wire trick is already widely known, however, this serves as a nice tutorial.
