i have a Aladdin Advance and i was wondering how big of a hard drive i could upgrade to. Thanx. Ishmo.

Depends on the bios on the chip. Not the make of chip itself. You can upgrade to any size but you may have to re-flash the chip to support it.

It depends which X2 bios there are lots of different ones.

the newest x2 bios will let you go above 137gigs

There are two different versions of most bios releases.
There are the 06 and the 67 versions.

The 06 version supports up to 167 gigs pretty sure.
The 67 version will support any size but any hdds above 250 gigs require special formatting.

You can reflash your chip with x2 4981 67 to ensure larger hdd support.
