Hi

I've recently upgraded the Xbox harddrive. I now have the original harddrive that I want to put linux on (Debian for PC) so I can use it as a new PC server.

I was wondering if the only way is to unlock the harddrive first by getting the passwords etc. then proceeding to format/install linux.

I really don't want to go through putting the harddrive back into the xbox and getting the password if I don't have to.

Thanks

Retrieve the password (i.e. eeprom.bin) using your new hdd.

Then transfer to PC.

Do whatever you want and lock.

(As the password stays the same, regardless of the hdd that's in the xbox)

Ahh ok, so if I run Evox on the new HDD it should give me the password that I want?

Thanks
