When I try to open the skin with UIX (I put it in the right directory and everything, it does show up), nothing appears, but I can still move the controller around. I even managed to get it to reboot with the new skin. But when I did reboot, there was no background, just the orb and the propellors in white. I had to blindly find Blue Cubewalls again. Any idea how I can fix this? I asked on Xbox-Skins as well, but everyone there is bit of a jerk and won't reply.

The skinname.xbx is a different name to the folders name

for skin:

RED_CAOS

the folder is named RED_CAOS and the skinname.xbx is named RED_CAOS.xbx and is placed inside of the folder

Well, now the skin loads, but there is no background. What's up with that?

Look in default.xip/default.xap

Find:
CODE
DEF theBackground Background

Below it should be:
CODE

//backdrop ImageTexture { url "xboxlogo.xbx" }

Make it look like this:
CODE

backdrop ImageTexture { url "background.xbx" }

Save and insert it back into default.xip.

Hope that helps!
