The X2 lite comes flashed with the cromwell bios. There is also a new Xecutor bios available that seems to be very popular. What are some of the real differences in these two? Is it just a matter of available and supported features by both of them.....in other words, you can simply get more out of the newest EvoX dash with the newer bios, right?

Thanks for any feedback.

The new Xecutor Bios circumvents the additional copy protection features installed on some of the newer games. The Cromwell/Linux Bios isn't all that great and should be replaced with the Xecutor Bios. I'm glad I got mine before they started putting the Cromwell/Linux Bios on it. Definitely get the new Xecutor Bios.

The only thing you can do with the Cromwell BIOS is run linux..

.. And flash the BIOS with that new OZXflash (linux) thing.

As far as I know, most vendors pre-flash the X2 Lite with the 4973 or 4974 BIOS. It's the vendor's choice, but you may not end up gettign stuck with Cromwell.
