a customer just brought me an xbox that he says is shutting off by itself after about 15 minutes then when i tries to turn it on again it flashes red or green and red dont know yet.... anyways he installed a solderless x2 and after 3 months it started doing this, i ripped it open, fan works fine, pulled the chip out and ran the xbox... 15 minutes and it shuts itself off... then it wont turn on until it cools off... i put my hand on the cpu heat sink and its fairly hot but i still dont think its overheating, i blew off the whole board and im trying it again but it wasn't dusty or anything.. does anyone have any ideas whats wrong with it?

Feel to see if the MCPX is getting hot. If it is the mobo is history.

You said the CPU heatsink is getting pretty warm, but how warm is the GPU heatsink getting?
