okay I have the blue color mod installed on a matrix chip.... plays everything fine.... can I just go ahead and follow the tutorial to put the evox dash in there or do I need some other bios flashed to the chip? I understand the tutorial, but not sure if I need to reflash the matrix to get this process going....

to confirm, when evox dashboard is installed it will replace the ms one that is there now?

Thanks in advance.....

The EvoX dashboard will work with any mod chip or BIOS.

Instead of replacing the MS dashboard, rename it (from xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe) and rename the EvoX dashboard from default.xbe to xboxdash.xbe. Alternatively, if you have a newer BIOS on your mod, you can leave the MS dash as xboxdash.xbe and rename the EvoX dash from default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe. Newer BIOS versions check for neXgen.xbe, then evoXdash.xbe, then xboxdash.xbe.

Then read it again. This procedure has been adressed far too many times, and I felt I explained it with decent clarity, considering.

I'm not sure what versions of the BIOSes implemented this multi-dash checking; just make sure you have the newest version of either EvoX's or Xecutor's BIOS, or just use the msxboxdash.xbe/xboxdash.xbe config, which unfortunately isn't Live-friendly.

Specifically, you can change the colors of the recessed X logo and XBOX text beneath it that appears immediately after the startup animation.

Colormods are good since you can easily tell if your mod is enabled or disabled for Live. Also, having the ability to change the color of the X logo is pretty cool wink.gif
