Hey all .. I am done soldiering in my executer 2 pro and my xbox will boot the default BIOS no problem but it will boot it with dip 4 on or off. When I hook up the DB25 connector to my Parallel port and run the X2 bios manager it will not detect the chip.
I guess my question is... if the mod chip is soldiered properly but has no bios will it load the xbox bios no matter what the dip switch settings are?

If you solder the d0 point right, when you flip dip 4 up, it should boot up, then turn off, and repeate that process.
So as HeLiuM said, it appears you didn't solder d0 right.

Most of the time when people are having problems with their x2 pro with regards to flashing it, it has to do with the parallel port cable.
If you have a long cable, 99% of the time it doesn't work.
Try to keep it around 3' I guess is the general rule so far.
I'm using a 6' one if I remember right, however I have to have no cables around it or it'll fail the write. AC current messes up the write I've noticed.
