I Have one of the oldest mod chip about 2-3 years old, and I have never played on live with it before. I am wondering how are all these people playing on xbox live with their modded xbox? Did they get a switch, or they just simply get an account then play on live not worrying about their modded xbox?

If I do need a switch where do I get one and to remind you all my mod chip is one of those old ones.

If your chip has no disable feature. A simple switch in the wire that goes to the D0 point will disable the chip.

Your signature needs reducing in height to 125px (The max allowed)

No you cannot play back ups on live. The back ups will not run anyway with the chip disabled.
the parts you can get from any hobby/Electronics shop

Advanced T3ch, you don't need an extra wire, you need a switch on the wire. If it is long enough, cut it in half, solder in a simple toggle switch, and then off and your chip is off, on and your chip is on. Make sure that you did not rename the M$dashboard, though. Also, make sure you have your HDD locked as your XBox will not boot otherwise.

You are all assuming his chip is the LPC kind. The older modchips were 29 wire and patched the bios on the fly to allow unsigned code execution. First we need you to figure out what kind of modchip you have first.

You have a very valid point there. we have all immediately thought its an LPC based chip but of course it may not be.
