Just installed the X-chip lite on a 1.0 box. It loads up cromwell fine, the http flash seemed to be successful. The browser window and the xbox both came up with finished messages.

When I rebooted the box, cromwell loaded back up.

Tried to flash via cd, it says it's flashing. Then when it completes and I reboot , comes back to cromwell....

Oh, yeah, i'm flashing it with xchip_v1.3.....

I didn't separate or plug in the break-away pcb. Both the dips on chip are set to 'on'

I'm assumng it isn't a pin contact or d0 issue since cromwell bios boots up perfectly every time... but, I don't know....

any help would be appreciated....

___oh yeah, by the way, I have my xbox (chipping a friend's) and it's chipped w/a standard x-chip. If it came down to it, would plugging my x-lite in to the usb connector and flashing it usb be an option? I don't know if they are compatible...

Ok... After reasearching more, I found my x-lite is stuck in recovery mode.
The cromwell bios text on the top of the menu has always been red.

This is the case with or without the break-away dip pcb connected.

Is there somewhere on the main chip to look for a bridged lead or solder points?
Possibly scraping the connected point away might let it boot in normal mode? Or is an RMA my only choice?
