hi guys!
I have been following this AWESOME device since launch day ... and wondering since some of you guys have had this PSP for a few months or longer ... are you still useing it ... or is it in the closet or elsewhere with other tech gear?

Could you guys share how you have used it this last week? And what you watch or play on it ... and how is it to carry around with you. Any problems? ETC!

If you go to bookstore or coffeeshop anyone else useing it and do you connect with internet in these places?

Everyone could benefit from this discussion because we could SEE HOW others are useing it and what they are doing with!

I love the MOD scene and have waited a bit before I think about going out and buying a PSP ... problably because I would probably have to use my GLASSES to see the small screen ... whereas I never wear glasses for TV gaming or movies at home or theater! smile.gif

Preordered one, got it launch day. Goofed with it for about 30 minutes, put it away.

When the Wipeout browser bug was discovered, went out and bought Wipeout. Goofed with it about 30 minutes, put it away.

Bought a 1GB MS Pro Duo for homebrew. Goofed with it for about an hour, put it away.

It's collecting dust. I figured I'd use it for mobile GPS if/when such a device ever came out. I mean, I really don't play games. Don't know WHAT I was thinking... laugh.gif

I have an Xbox for games at home, a DS for games on the road, a laptop for GPS, a portable DVD player for trips, and a WinCE tablet for wireless internet on the couch or in bed. I have no need for a PSP.

Mainly bought it for Metal Gear Ac!d, then after I beat the game, put it away until discovering emulators for PSP.

Now I play it all the time laugh.gif

i got it at launch. mainly used it as a media player, then homebrew came, and i still didnt find that any fun (cant play on a small screen). so when 2.0 came out, i saw no reason for me to have homebrew (i didnt like the emulators, nothing else caught my attention, still hasnt), so i upgraded and now use it a lot for web browsing and music. and some videos.

I use it alot more now since Fastloader came out and I got a 1gig card, before that I hardly used it.

To be honnest the line up of games for it right now suck, once the 2nd gen games start rolling out I'm sure it will be alot better.

I still think its a great peice of hardware and I'm really looking forward to what the future lies for it.

i got my first psp a month before the kxploit hack came out. Originally I had a 1.50 but got a 1.0 in a trade. Playing a few old gb games on the psp was nice, since the speed was fast and I don't think I would be caught dead with my old white gameboy brick.

I use my psp now for two purposes. To test and debug psp webpages, games and apps I have been programming, and to play homebrew. I never use it for movies and rarely use it for mp3s like I would have hoped.

It has been very interesting watching the PSP scene grow. The emulators have been progressing nicely and many random/useful apps (such as pspersonalize, and its sucessor WAB skin changer, pspkick, and a grip of emulators) have been released and there is no doubt many more to be released in the future. The psp has much potential yet to be unlocked. Only recently have they major access to the psp's internal functioning and is being documented. Even futher, webpages with info are the same, no page compares to how trusty XS is yet, but there are good ones trying.

I don't use the psp nearly as much as I thought I would, and the game selection is poor yet it stayes interesting enough on its own. Luckly, Kai is around and you can play psp games online. Still we need more games. Homebrew might be a constant problem for a while with sony releasing new updates with every set of game releases, it will keep hackers on their toes unleashing each firmware to its full potential, or may eventually lead to talks of modchips, who knows...

Bought my PSP about a month ago. I never had an intention of buying one but I founded it cheap, and I'm a sucker when it comes to deals. I still don't have a single game/movie for it. But I have a 512mb Pro Duo. I never put music on it (that's what my iPods are for.) I've never taken it anywhere, it's just too damn big for my pocket. I never put photos on, why would anyone? I've never played a game on it, since I don't have one and my friends are jackasses to lend me some. The only thing I've done with it was watch Collateral, and now I'm about to watch The Perfect Score. Oh well, I've updated to 2.00 since it was originally 1.52. I surf the internet with it atleast once a day while in bed. So that's the only main use. And btw, I lied about never putting music on it. I've put maybe one or two songs just because I like the speaker feature. tongue.gif

Got mine like a month and a half ago. It's a 1.5 so I have not put this down except to sleep.

Currently I am deep into Tenchu, Death Jr and Hot Shots. That alone is just too much. I have a gig and a 256.... the 256 is my mp3 card so I switch it out when I am driving around. I love DJSP.... the colors are mad awesome. ooOOOoooOooo

people all drive up close to my car to see what the hell I am looking at... it's hilarious.

Neo Geo CD emulation is excellent on the go. Nintendo is fun once in a while, Super Nintendo and GBA still need time, GBA especially. I have watched a few movies and looked unsure.gif at unsure.gif a unsure.gif couple photos unsure.gif.

I will get a DS once castlevania comes out.

NO UPDATING!! NO! NO! NO!

Daily no, but I pick it up for work breaks on long days(12 hr+). Mostly using it to play old nintendo and tg16 games, Lumines, and rewatching Tron(Yes I did waste cash on a PSP movie for a DVD I own, if they rereliced wargames I would be set).
