Hmmm... I found out how to access my PC files from my xbox, but how do I access my xbox files on my PC?

A link to a tutorial would be helpful. Thanks.

XBOX STUFF
Get XBMC from the usual places

PC stuff
Make sure you can ftp to your xbox.
Then set your music folder as shared. (properties, sharing, share this folder, let others edit files in this folder) both should be checked

Xbox dir
Go to xbmc and go to my music.
choose workgroup shared or whatever is under smb share
it will take you to your networks name, continue to navigate the folders to reach your music folder.

Thanks for the reply, but that still isn't what I'm asking for. My music is already ON the xbox (it's the "host" we could say). I want to listen to the music FROM my xbox ON my computer. Hope you understand.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I went throught this SAME dilema yesterday, but mine was the opposite, I was trying to MOVE files TO the Xbox...

FTP Client my man.

get one thats visual, and figure out your Xbox's IP Address, which should be way easy to do, since it's in your network....

set up the client, and voila.. you're cooking with gasoline...

I know how to FTP, but I want to STREAM the music from my xbox TO my computer so I don't have to FTP/Download it onto my computer first. Does anyone understand what I'm saying?

sorry i wasted 2 posts in your thread. mad.gif

I get what you're trying to do. Would << THIS >> do the trick? I'm not sure, but it's worth taking a look at.

Thanks very much Textbook, that's exactally what I was looking for. smile.gif BUT, whenever I try and open a song from the xbox, it opens up an internet explorer window and comes up with the famous "This page could not be displayed" error. I want to open the songs with windows media player, help please?

I have no idea, man. I've never done this, and my xbox is currently being stupid, so I can't try it out right now. I just remember reading that tutorial when somebody else was trying to do it. I did a google search, found it, and thought maybe it would help you out. I have no clue on how to work it, but I'm guessing all it does is map your xbox to your "My Network Places" It seems like you could just highlight a file and hit open with...

Maybe somebody else will know more about it BUMP!
