i am gonna finally get a mod chip. i have no soldering skills at all so i am gonna get a solderless. should i get a Spider v1.1 solderless or Xenium SP.ICE Solderless. the spider is so much cheaper and come in a metal box so it wont break in the mail but i always hear good stuff about the Xenium SP.ICE. so which should i get. and i am planning on buying it at http://www.mod-chip....t_xbox_main.htm is this a good site? bucause i am gonna pay cash. has anybody ever bought from here and how reliable r they?

i bought the xenium ice (not SP) with solderless at www.modchipstore.com and had good results.

You dont need the SP adapter if you dont have a 1.6 xbox, you need the normal adapter which is cheaper.

good luck.

i would personally go with the Xenium. I had a spider chip v1.0 and its a bitch. Now I have a xenium spice and its great. Also go here Divieno and you will find the xenium for $10 cheaper than the site you had.

And like the guy said before if you have earlier than a v1.6 you dont need the sp ice just the ice and thats antoher $10 dollars off.

spider chips are poorly built and expensive for their quality. you know why they are in metal boxes? becuase they break that easily, you can break the pins by installing it the wrong way. the wires are completely un protected, leaving it open for shorts. and not to mention, if you screw your flash, youll have to hotswap becuase their programmer doesnt work.

get the xenium, or even better, get a duox2 and have someone solder it in.

Yep, go with the Xenium. Avoid the Spider and all of the headaches associated with it.

You just need a little patience. Once you do one, the rest are a snap.
