Is there a prog that will let me cut down the retail bios from a 1mb to a 512kb bios? I don't recall seeing one, and I need to cut the 1mb bios from a v1.1 to fit on one 512kb bank.

You should be able to use the X2 bios manager to save what you need (not sure - haven't used it with a retail bios), or just use any binary file-split utility to chunk it into 2 or 4 equal parts. (eg FileSplit - http://www.partridge....com/filesplit/ )

I used biosslicer (or whatever the exact name was), I should have searched, since I found it 2 secs after posting. But I will just use flash-x to flash the 256kb bios that I have to the first "2" banks of the x2.0 lite (there are 2 banks on the chip, but flash x recognizes 4 256kb banks, so I won't really need to cut it, though I will use xbtool if this doesn't fix the prob).
