ok i started doing my controller port leds and i thought of a very good way to get them inside comfortably no problem. First i took off the flap at the back of the port..covered the inside with tape...and then made this thing.....user posted image

it works perfectly and just slides in....




PS...i know i suck at soldering

pretty good. where does the led power connect to?

looks like it would work. is there a tut for controller port leds? im thinking of doing them myself. cheers beerchug.gif

not it isnt i have 2 and nothing so far



and the power is from the controller ports..... red wire

i like it i think its better to use 2 and find a good way to fit them then to only use one

when you put the resistor in, did u put it on the positive side, or the negative? according to the led resistor calculator, it goes negative.. but i dunno..

The resistor can go anywhere in the circuit, so it can be on either side.

yeah, for a while my tut use to be the star of controler port led tuts.... but since then, the star has faded. the link is still good though:

heres the best way, i use 3 leds per port when requested.

your way looks to much work and waste of time. then i make sure no metal is touching and fill the port with hot glue enough so you can still close it.

i would do it like that but i have differnent ports than u....i have a 1.0 box so the ports are all metal with the big plastic thing on top
