Tried connecting the usb cable to the x-chip. The chip lights up red but the light doesn't go out, nor does the X-control software icon turn to green (ready to flash). I'm unsure if I'm supposed to flash it while its out of the xbox, connected to the xbox, or inside the xbox with the power on. unsure what to do but I've tried them all.

I have the solderless adapter and all 5 LEDS on it light up. I have X-control, EvoX, and slayer's disc. I"m trready to get started but can't figure out why the chip won't go to ready mode. there are no drivers, afaik. please help.

thanks
