I want to install a new dashboard, do I need to have a modchip? Id rather just softmod it. Im not using Live anymore and I dont plan on renewing it till I get my 360. And my warranty is way gone so I dont care about that eather. I just dont want to spend $ on getting a modchip.

Yes you can softmod it. Try asking in a better forum category.
