WOOT !!

I finaly found time to begin a New thread for Jayda's 3rd XBox Case mod
I hope you guys and girls Enjoy. Please feel free to leave your Questions and Comments. beerchug.gif

Part One: The Thinker.

I Spent alot of Time at work Fantasising over a new PC Case that was advertised in a Mag i picked up a few feeks ago. After some phone calls i came to relise that no one was stocking them. The guy on the phone said that they could get in the tower sized case for 180.00. I told him id call back. After a day or two of more thinking i desided that the $180.00 Price tag for the larger tower was a little crazzy. After all it is only a case for the PC, Im Considering Buying a small 17 or 19inch Lcd Monitor for the Xbox Once shes in hi Def so ill be needing all the extra cash i can get.

So i have Desided to Mod the Pc Case to a more aesthetically pleasing level.
Here are some Drawings Ive done on the PC.

Part 3: Filler

I bought a tin of Automotive filler and was ready to begin. The Filler is on the left and the Hardner on the right. Follow the instructions and it should work. Make sure you do this in a well ventilated area the vapors will do you no good.
user posted image

throwing it on smooth makeing sure i get all the little holes and what not.
user posted image

yeah ok maybe i could have made it a bit smoother but i didnt want to neglect the main parts considering it has only a 5 min working time.
user posted image

20 Minutes later and you can sand, i didnt leave it any longer because i was doing sevral layers. Remember your Saftey gear, this dust is also not good for you.

Part 4: The aluminium Panals

This is where im up to right now.

A power sander and a little elbow to sand of the Paint witch i think was power coated on their, so it took some time. thank god i was using the Power sander.
user posted image

now all i have to do is go to the aluminium fabricators and get a peice cut out to fit the front of the case. also get the dvd bezels cut so it will all be schmick.

i will also get the Fabricators to etch in the Logos that i have in the second pic. but for now i must rest.

Hope you guys are enjoying it. i know i am.

Just a small update, this case mod is now on pause...

For only a day though beerchug.gif

I took the front panal to the local sheet-metal-professionals today ( sounded good in my head ) And i should hopfully be picking up one super accutarly cut 1mm of Alloy sheet to fit to the front.

When i get it back i will than have to install the new dvd burner and xbox dvd to the pc so i can align everything and mark out some dvd bezels out of the front peice.

I also originaly planned on Etching the logos i have selected by hand and with some Contact ( plastic book cover stuff ) make some stencils and just sand or dremil them on.
I'm now just going to take the front peice and the logos on paper to the signwriters or the Trophy/ingraver shop and see it they can do me multi-layered logos so they can have a little more detail and style to them, if they can do that i have a few more logos in mind eg: nVidia, P4with HT and the xbox logo also.

Till next time, Take it easy beerchug.gif

Well at least im walking the walk hey cyfi, i know many people start threads with thies crazzy ideas but you end up ither with nothing or seeing something that doesnt quite float the boat if your know what i mean.

Thanks again.

In the next day or two once the front is completed i will be ready to drill the front peices and also make my clear xbox jewl/logo to have illuminated, i changed my idea about the EL-Wire lit logo and will have that on the internals of the Case, witch i hope will also look as sleek as the exterior.
