i want to put some leds into a box with a controlled timer for flashing a few leds. ive done some searching and found a timer chip (555 timer) but i dont know anything bout building the paticuler circuit or where to obtain the chip any suggestions would be great.

or you could search teh web, you WILL find a circuit that allows you to do this. the 555 timer chip is one of the most common.

DO NOT buy it at Radio Shack, they are about $3.00 there.

They are only about .65 there.

I'd get the XERC. Its proffesionally built and it'll do what you want with an easy install.

It retails for 25.00 Plus shipping HERE

And theres a hell of a lot more that it can do besides just blinking leds. Read up on it and let you imagination go man. Definately worth the cash.
