When I watch widescreen TV or movie captures (XviD or DivX) on XBMC, the screen is formatted to fullscreen mode, but the capture is widescreen... not true widescreen, but a 4x3 image with the black bars on top and bottom. I tried different options from the MS dash and from the video settings in XBMC, but the image is still formatted on the Xbox. Anyone have an idea how to show the full video with no screen size alterations?

Press either the Start button (or Select tongue.gif) on the controller while the movie is playing or the middle Enter/Select button on the DVD remote.

Do you have a widescreen TV btw? If not, and you have a 4:3 fullscreen TV, then changing the aspect ratio (stretching etc) is only chopping out parts of the video or overstretching it. It was meant to be watched with black borders (mattes) on a 4:3/FS TV.

The Start button thing worked just fine. I didn't know that XBMC had something like that where I could toggle between modes. Thanks a lot!
