i've been playing with my Doom 3 backup for a while now, and now, when i insert the disc, it loads, and loads, and loads, and loads again ! same problem with my Far Cry Instincts backup... those are the 2 i play the most, so i don't know if the problem is for all my backups... does anyone know what could be the problem ? maybe a NTSC, PAL conflict ? thanx !

If you bought the games locally (ie the same region where your box is from) then PAL/NTSC is not an issue. the games will be the same region as the box

Well if they have gotten scratched that would explain it.

Also, I have used Princo (=cheap) media that would go bad about a month after burning the discs.

Lastly, your DVD drive could be dirty or going out.
