Using the Xecuter 3 bios and an Xecuter 3CE modchip, I accidently selected the "Restore Xbox EEprom From X3" option having never selected "Save Xbox EEprom To X3". I presume that this has had the effect of formatting my Xbox's on-board bios. Now my Xbox gives the FRAG screen with an error 6 (HDD), my video is in black-and-white and the Xbox complains that it can't find the hard disk's first sector when I boot into the backup bios. I understand that a number of unique keys were stored in my on-board bios, including the hard disk's unlock code. I'm guessing that this explains why the hard disk no longer works.

Is my Xbox a write off, or is there any way to recover it?

Many thanks, Rob.

i think you mean the eeprom not the bios

you could get a new eeprom off the buy/trade forum if you dont have a backup
