Topic says it all. My friend's Xbox won't read Data Discs for some reason. They're fine discs, I use them on my Softmodded Xbox, and then when I stick them into his, they won't load. XD

No you didn't.
He prob has a different drive and won't be able to pick it up, you could try re-burning it to different media.

What do you mean another form of Media? All I have is a CD burner, and he's prolly got the same drive as I do since we're both running Softmodded Xboxes.

1) sorry then, if it doesn't read the cd-rw it won't read the cd-r

2) DVD DRIVE TYPES

Dvd drives have nothing to do with having a softmod. What is in the data disc that you are trying to load?

Any data disc doesn't work. Well it won't load. But the kind of disc we're trying to load is a Boot CD that has XBA on it. Although it won't read ANY Data CD at all. The Tray says it's empty.

Yep sounds like a Dvd Drive issue.
Use the link i gave in the last post to compare your drive and his.

Well, we have the same Drive...nothing different. Only difference between our Xboxes is that he bought his around Febuary 2002 while I had mine in November 2001. Would that make a difference? And does that mean there's no way to make his work?
