Hey guys, just so you know i tried to search, but it wouldnt let me!

1. Is there a tut to light the volume meter on the xbl dongle that the headset goes into?

2. I need to extend my dvd power cable. Can i just cut the wire, and extend it with normal electrical wire?

Thanks

Oliver

for the LED, you would need to solder a 100ohm resistor to the +5 volt wire on the part of the adapter that plugs into the controller, solder the LED + wire onto the resistor (awful wording i know) and the negative end of the led to the ground on the thing that plugs into the controller and move the LED to where it would shine on the volume meter.

as for the dvd power, some 24 gauge wire is probably what you would need to extend those power connectors

Ok thanks for the help.

Ive got the resistor soldered to the + end of the led. But which places are the + and ground on the dongle?

Could u show me a diagram?

Thanks for the help with the dvd-power cable, i was just making sure.

Thanks

Oliver

well i am not 100% on this... i could show you one when i get home but it will be in about 6 hours...i think that if you have the unit face up, the +5 volts is the one on the far left and the ground is the one on the far right (about 85% sure) if you have a multimeter you could check it.

it actually doesn't really matter where the resistor goes, as long as it's in the circuit.

I would always use 150 ohm just to be safe.
