Dunno where the modchip (if made) will end up. But if the solder points are anywhere under the PCB boards, then it will be close to impossible to mod the xbox360 : -

I think hes talking about how the chips are on the PCB with BGA not with pins.

The current gen Xbox's processors use a BGA....

I've never known ANY modchip EVER to attach directly to the main CPU...

so exactly where is the problem?

Very very true. I love being the one to do mods for people. What sucks though is fixing it when they screw up later, ie "I clicked on this option that said 'format C drive' and now my xbox won't turn on!"

Quagmire, HA! Do some PS2 modchip installs, then get back to me on how many points you have... remeber the early ones with 20+ points... It'll be done, just wait. There's to much money riding on this for the modchip manufacturers.

I decided long before seeing those pics that if I can get a modchip at any point for the 360, I would go for a premod/pro install. It's not worth the risks any other way. Not until the console is far enough into its lifespan that the price drops and the number of solder points for the chips is reduced.
