Ftp Between Linux And Computer

can anybody tell me how to ftp my xbox and computer using one of the linux OS's (i have most of them)? I need to ftp some files to my xbox, and my new router switch won't recognize the xbox unless it's in linux for some reason. I need to know how to find out the username and password to enter in flash fxp on my computer. please help

The default username and password is different depending on which distribution you use (which you didn't mention in your post). Look in the pinned FAQs at the top of the forum for a list of default passwords. And of course if you have set you own password then no one here is gonna be able to tell you what it is.

I'm running GentooX

So my username is gentoox, and my password is xbox.

But I think you're problem is your network settings. Probably in your dash. You should change it to DHCP (AUTO). Also do this in whatever your normal dash is.
