Been searching for a while but haven't found a problem that matched mine exactly. Let me know if you have similar experience or any idea what else to check.

ver 1.6b XBox
X-Lite (with default bios, Cromwell, ver ?)
Install method: LPC rebuild

XBox flashes green once and then flashes orange 4 or 5 times and then just shuts off. It doesn't matter what the dip switches are set to.

When the 5V source (from the right connector of the transistor) is pulled, XBox boots fine to MS dash.

Searching around, I get the impression that some X-Lite shipped with Cromwell v1.0 won't work with v1.6b XBox?? If that is the case, I am screwed, right? Since I can't flash the X-Lite through USB. X-Lite was shipped from easybuy2000 about 2 months ago. What's the likelihood that my X-Lite is Cromwell v1.0?

I checked all the soldier location and continuity twice already. The fact that XBox frags tells me my d0/Lframe is okay. And the fact that with 5V source removed my XBox boots fine tells me I don't have any loose solder or broken trace on my XBox. Am I correct in these two assumptions?

Thanks for your help,
