from what i've read i understand that the console recognizes it as an external storage, so all the contents you want to put in there you put them through you normal pc.... then plug it in to a 360 port. ....

so its like, plug it into your computer, load up all the info you want(music, pics, whatever[cuz if i understand right movies still cant be played from an external source]) get a sata to usb converter and plug it into a usb port?

If you look he has the USB cable comming out of the back of the 360 (where the serial sticker is) and plugged into the back USB

lol, did not notice that, but thanks for pointin that out, now i see it clearly lol. so then externall drives work in the usb ports? I had heard they didnt? or maybe i missread, who knnows. Can you play video off of the hard drive?
