Has anybody been able to pick up a hard drive? I was 1 person too late in line and had to buy a core system, so I thought... "no big deal, I'm the first person to get a hard drive" well I get to the counter and the store had NONE... launch day and they had no hard drives.

I've spoken to a couple of stores (best buy's blockbusters) they've all said "we were suppose to get some but never did.

Then I stand in line at compUSA because they advertised them in their day after thanksgiving sale. Well when they open we find out that they had none. We talked to a manager and got put on a list to be called when they came in.

FINALLY, today, I get the call from CompUSA that they have a hard drive in and reserved for me.

After having such a hard time getting a hold of this I am wondering if everyone else is having the same problem? I eman I know that there is a shortage of them as well, but every store I have talked to has NEVER gotten them in.

I didn't know they were that hard to get a hold of. Went Xmas shopping yesterday at ToysRUs, Target and 2 Best Buys...I saw a few.

Wow, I can't believe it. Where do you live?

I can't check right now, but they were going on ebay for close to $200 (day after launch) I thought about buying an extra and selling it on there.

It must not be that bad anymore, they are going on ebay for $120-140. Still not a bad return, but not worth my trouble to go buy $1000 worth of harddrives for $200.
